Adams County Ghost Towns
Adams County, located in southwestern Iowa, is the least populous county in the state, with a population of 3,704 recorded in the 2020 U.S. Census. It was established by the Iowa legislature in 1851 and officially organized on March 12, 1853, having previously been part of Pottawattamie County.
